Legal Obligations
OWL Oncology Research uses personal data firstly to fulfill any contractual obligations that exist between us and yourself. Where we request personal data be provided to enter into, or meet the terms of any such contract, you will be required to provide the relevant personal data, or we will not be able to deliver the goods or services you want. In such cases the lawful basis of our processing the personal data is necessity for the performance of a contract.
We are required by law to process personal data for purposes relating to our legal obligations, these include:

► To comply with regulatory requirements and any self-regulatory schemes.
► To carry out required business operations and due diligence.

OWL Oncology Research may process Personal Data for the following purposes where it has received consent to do so:

► Investigators and their staff members may sign consent forms for us to hold their data.
You may withdraw your consent for us to process your personal data for these purposes at any time; after a withdrawal of consent request is received, we may have to contact you to verify the request.
Withdrawing your consent for us to process your personal data will not affect the lawfulness of the processing beforehand.
Legitimate Interests
OWL Oncology Research may process Personal Data for any of the following purposes, which are within the scope of our legitimate business interests:

Special Category Personal Data
OWL Oncology Research do not process any special category data relating to data subjects where OWL Oncology Research is the data controller.

Yes, OWL Oncology Research complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (“EU-U.S. DPF”), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF (“UK DPF Extension”) and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (“Swiss-U.S. DPF”) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. OWL Oncology Research has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. DPF Principles with regard to the processing of Personal Data received from the European Union and the United Kingdom in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK DPF Extension. OWL Oncology Research has also certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles (together with the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, the “DPF Principles”) with regard to the processing of Personal Data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this Privacy Notice and the DPF Principles, the DPF Principles shall govern. In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK DPF Extension and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, OWL Oncology Research commits to resolve DPF Principles-related complaints about our collection and use of your personal information. EU, UK and Swiss individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our handling of Personal Data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK DPF Extension and the Swiss-U.S. DPF should first contact OWL Oncology Research at privacy@owloncology.com.
If we are unable to resolve your inquiry or complaint to your satisfaction, you are entitled to file a formal complaint about our handling of your personal data, and to receive appropriate recourse, free of charge.
In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK DPF Extension and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, OWL Oncology Research commits to refer unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK DPF Extension and the Swiss-U.S. DPF to JAMS, an alternative dispute resolution provider based in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and/or Switzerland (as applicable). The Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over OWL Oncology Research’s compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK DPF Extension and the Swiss-U.S DPF. Under certain conditions, you may have the possibility, under certain conditions, to invoke binding arbitration for complaints regarding DPF compliance not resolved by any of the other DPF mechanisms.
In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, OWL Oncology Research commits to cooperate and comply respectively with the advice of the panel established by the EU Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) and the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) with regard to unresolved complaints concerning our handling of Human Resources (HR) data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF in the context of employment relationships.
To report a complaint with our handling of your personal data, not including HR data collected in the course of a potential or established employment relationship, please visit JAMS.

To achieve the above stated purposes for which we process your personal data, we may have to share your personal data with certain third parties.
We shall make all reasonable efforts to ensure that any third-party we share your personal data with is also compliant with data protection law. OWL Oncology Research remains liable under the EU-U.S. DPF, the UK DPF Extension and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, if that third party processes such personal information in a manner inconsistent with DPF Principles.

As a part of our standard business practices, we may transfer your personal data to organizations based in countries that have not been granted an adequacy decision under the General Data Protection Regulation.

Otherwise known as the ‘right to be forgotten’, this gives you the right to request your personal data be deleted.
This is not an absolute right; if you were to request that we erase your personal data, we would erase as much of that data as we could but may have to retain some information if it is necessary.
Where we have received a request for personal data to be erased, if it is necessary for us to retain some of that information, we shall ensure that the remaining data is used only when and where it is absolutely necessary.
The Right to Objection
The right to object is a basic freedom all democracies enjoy. If you wish to object to the way we use, or have used, your personal data you may do so freely.

We will always try to maintain the highest standards and encourage the confidence our customers have in us as an organization. You may also use an authorized agent to submit an access, deletion, or correction request on your behalf. Authorized agents may submit such requests by contacting us using the details below. An authorized agent must have your signed permission to submit a request on your behalf or provide proof that they have power of attorney in accordance with California probate law. Before completing requests from authorized agents, we may contact you directly to confirm you’ve given your permission and/or to verify your identity.
Making Requests to “Opt Out” of the “Sale” or “Sharing” of “Personal Information”
To submit a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, you may click on the link “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” on the footer of our websites or you may choose to enable online, where available, a universal tool that automatically communicates your opt-out preferences. We collected the following categories of personal information in the last 12 months: identifiers/contact information, demographic information (such as gender and age), commercial information, Internet or other electronic network activity information, geolocation data, audio, electronic, visual or similar information, and inferences drawn from the above.
The sources of personal information from whom we collected are: directly from our users, third-party sites or platforms that you link with your registration account, analytics tools, advertising networks, and third-party services that update or supplement information we hold about you.
The business or commercial purposes of collecting personal information are as summarized above and in our Privacy Policy.
We do not “sell” or “share” the personal information of known minors under 16 years of age.
Shine the Light Act
If you are a California resident, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits you to request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information by OWL Oncology Research to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes.
